Millennium city bugged by travel, power issues

he five-day-long initiative “Your Gurgaon Your Voice”, a special series from the stables of Hindustan Times, which took off on May 13, continued to create a buzz at Infinity Towers in DLF Cyber City Phase-III on Friday as well.

Acclaimed radio jockey of Fever 104, RJ Paran on Friday, the last day of “Your Gurgaon Your Voice”, spoke to residents of Infinity Towers regarding issues like safety and security, infrastructure, travel, bad roads, lack of pavements, poorly lit streets, etc. At the forum, Hindustan Times volunteers recorded the residents’ grievances on a dictaphone.

The special initiative on the challenges facing the city was committed to identifying and finding solutions to the problems of the denizens of the Millennium City by approaching the highest authorities.

Gurgaon is a city of the future, a millennium city that has been chosen by some of the world’s biggest and most famous corporations as their address in India. But have Gurgaon’s urban problems been solved?

To address this precise question, the Hindustan times had started this initiative, ‘Your Gurgaon Your Voice’, so that residents get a platform to discuss their problems and find a way to get these addressed.
